Dr Luke Bode
Dr Luke was born and raised on the beautiful Gold Coast. After graduating from A.B. Patterson College, he completed his dental studies at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Dean’s commendation for high achievement.
After a happy number of years working in a busy country practice, Dr Luke has returned to call the Gold Coast home for good, and he has been dedicated to taking care of his patients at Broadbeach Dental Practice since.
Dr Luke is truly gentle and kind, looking after people first and foremost is second nature to him and he will always take the time to get to know your individual case. This genuine care and empathy coupled with an excellent clinical ethos and commitment to the highest standards of quality have earned him a reputation as one of the most popular dentists on the Gold Coast.
Dr Luke is skilled in all aspects of general dentistry and provides his patients with all options from a simple check-up and clean to complex root canal treatment and cosmetic work. The biggest reward in dentistry is for him to see his patients return happy and healthy. He feels very privileged to often be taking care of as many as 3 generations of a single family!
Outside of Dentistry, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife Dr Sarah and their young family and keeping active at the local gym.
Dr Sarah Zhao
Dr Sarah Zhao grew up on the Gold Coast before pursuing her dental studies at the University of Queensland. She graduated with first class honours and over 10 special awards (just about all of them!), including the prestigious University Medal for Dentistry.
Coupled with this clear commitment to knowledge, technical and academic excellence, Dr Sarah has gained a reputation for being one of the most caring and gentle dentists around.
After a rewarding few years practicing in the country with Dr Luke, she returned to the Gold Coast and practiced at Galleon Way Dental Surgery in Currumbin, gaining a loyal following of patients.
Dr Sarah’s calm, empathetic and caring approach is appreciated by all of her patients, especially children and the dentally anxious. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but finds it particularly rewarding to see children and their families grow up, working through dental anxieties to achieve a healthy mouth, and has a particular flair for minimally invasive cosmetic cases including composite and porcelain veneers.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr Sarah is kept on her toes by her little girl Aurelia. When she finds the time, she loves to run silly distances, knit and sew.
Dr Roland Stettler
After working around the world, we are fortunate that Dr Roland Stettler has chosen the Gold Coast for his home and has now been a part of Broadbeach Dental Practice for over 10 years.
Originally from Switzerland, Dr Stettler worked as a dental technician, constructing crowns, bridges and dentures for 20 years. This first-hand experience in physically constructing the work he now fits has provided him with a rare, unique and valuable perspective as a dentist.
Pursuing a job opportunity, he moved to New Zealand and worked in Auckland as a dental technician before he decided to study Dentistry at the University of Otago in Dunedin. After 10 years in New Zealand Roland decided to make Australia his home and moved to Queensland where he worked in Gladstone and Brisbane before finally realising that the Gold Coast was where he wanted to call home.
Roland enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. He is a gentle and caring dentist and brings passion, knowledge and a genuine lifelong interest to the practice.
Outside of Dentistry Roland enjoys travelling and Aikido, a martial art he has been practicing for over 30 years.
Dr Jonathan Zhao
Dr Jonathan Zhao grew up on the Gold Coast where he attended Somerset College. Following in the family theme, he decided to join his sister Dr Sarah and brother-in-law Dr Luke in pursuing Dentistry, graduating from the University of Queensland with honours, topping the subject of prosthodontics (crown and bridge work).
After working in private practice in Caboolture and Northern Brisbane, Jonathan has returned home to the Gold Coast. He brings with him a warm and open manner as well as a fresh and keen enthusiasm for dentistry.
He is appreciated for his patience and thoroughness. He enjoys the variety of general dentistry and is especially loved by children (some nifty balloon animal skills may have something to do with it!).
Outside of Dentistry, Jonathan enjoys cooking, chocolate making and trying to be his niece Aurelia’s favourite uncle!
Dr Ra Chung
Dr Ra has been working in the dental industry for over 10 years as both a qualified Dentist and Oral Health Therapist. She graduated from the University of Melbourne and Griffith University where she was the recipient of academic excellent awards every year.
Dr Ra is hugely committed to providing high quality dental care with an emphasis on disease prevention. She prides herself on her gentle approach and excellent manner making her extremely skilled at dealing with even the most anxious dental patients.
Dr Ra is sure to make every appointment at Broadbeach Dental Practice the most comfortable experience for each patient she has the pleasure of taking care of.
Dr Ra is particularly passionate about orthodontics, management of TMD and children’s dentistry and is fluent in Korean.
When she isn’t taking fantastic care of her patients, you can find Dr Ra continuing to expand her dental knowledge, bouldering at the local climbing gym, and enjoying her 4-legged fur babies.
